A casual, comfortable shoe. You will not be sorry. I am a big guy and need a wide yet supportive shoe so when I saw these Galway Walkers, I figured I would try a pair. Well, I am more than pleased with them and will be ordering a second pair for sure. I reccomend this shoe for anyone needing a casual, comfortable shoe.

High & Wide. I have never had much luck finding shoes that fit. My feet are very wide, and both my arches and my insteps are very high. I ordered six pairs of shoes (all supposedly my size) from a popular "wide shoe" catalog, and ended up sending the other five pairs back. The Propét Galway Walker is truly made to accomodate a wide foot- the toe is roomy, the arch has enough give, and the shoe slips on and off easily. There are no annoying ridges or protrusions on the inner surfaces, and the sole is light and flexible, making for good all-day comfort. I bought my original "ice cream" colored pair as a summer shoe to wear with shorts, and liked them so much that the minute I found out that they were now available in black, I got on the phone to Fashionshopp and ordered a pair. So now I have summer and dress-up occasions covered, and here's my one and only complaint: What's a guy gotta do to get this shoe in brown? My footwear problems will be a thing of the past once that oversight gets straightened out.

Very Comfortable Shoe. A very comfortable walking shoe with plenty of room in the toe box. The available wide width is also appreciated. I prefer the SL-2 last in the New Balance line at 5E widths and this Propet shoe is very similar in terms of fit. I wish it were available in shades of brown/tan as well.
